Sina holds a practice-based PhD from the Make/Sense PhD program from the Critical Media Lab at the Academy of Art and Design Basel (CH), the University of Arts Linz (AT) in collaboration with Humboldt University of Berlin (GER) and KASK- Conservatory/ School of Arts Ghent (BE).  Since 2024 she is also a researcher at the Art&Ecology Research Group of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (BE) and since 2019, she has also been working as a research associate at Artistic Methods at RWTH Aachen University (GER) where she since 2026 holds a postdoctoral position.

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe (GER), the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (GER), and at HISK – Higher Institute for Fine Arts in Ghent (BE). Her work has been shown at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale (IT), M HKA – Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (BE), the Cultural Center San Pedro de Atacama (CL), Beursschouwburg – Multidisciplinary Art Center Brussels (BE), PACT Zollverein Essen (GER), Albert van Abbehuis Art Center Eindhoven (NL), Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (BE), Kunsthalle Trier (GER), IKOB – Museum of Contemporary Art Eupen (BE), CIAP Kunstverein Genk (BE) among others.

Residencies, workshops, and talks have brought her to Villa Empain, Fondation Boghossian in Brussels (BE), La Wayaka Current in the Atacama Desert (CL), Hangar – Center for Art Research and Production in Barcelona (ES), Kunsthalle Mainz (DE), Architektūros fondas in Vilnius (LT), Museum da Pessoa in São Paulo (BR), Bauhaus University Weimar (GER), the University of the Arts Helsinki (FI) and Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (GER), among others.

Together with Eva- Fiore Kovacovsky and Roel Arkesteijn, Sina runs the reading group of the Art&Ecology Research Group at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (BE) where they meet monthly to discuss relevant writings from the broad intersection of artistic practices and ecology.
